Egyptian Dreams in the Sand

Hot like the sun yet dark like the darkest night

Egyptian Dreams in the Sand

The desert whispered secrets old,
Across the dunes of burning gold.
Where ancient winds refused to die,
And vultures circled silent skies.

I wandered where no footprints stayed,
Through temples time itself betrayed.
Each weathered stone recalled your name,
As though the gods still fed the flame.

A golden moon above me shone,
Yet somehow I was not alone.
A shadow walked beside my soul,
Completing what had not been whole.

Your eyes were lined with kohl so deep,
Where endless dreams refused to sleep.
A priestess draped in flowing white,
You danced beneath the stars at night.

The Nile carried forgotten vows,
Still echoing beneath its boughs.
Each ripple held a whispered kiss,
A lifetime wrapped in endless bliss.

Within a tomb of sacred kings,
Lay broken crowns and golden rings.
Yet none compared to what I found…
Your heartbeat humming through the ground.

The scarab climbed my trembling hand,
A silent guide across the sand.
Its emerald shell reflected light,
Like hope surviving endless night.

The Sphinx remained with knowing smile,
As though she’d watched us all the while.
She guarded every promise made,
Though kingdoms crumbled into shade.

I heard Anubis softly call,
Beyond the temple’s crumbling wall.
Yet fear dissolved beneath your touch,
For death could never conquer us.

When morning stole the stars away,
The desert begged for us to stay.
Two wandering souls through endless time…
Your ancient heart forever mine.

Every grain of sand remembers a love the world forgot.❤️
