I’ve cut a thousand this and that’s

Added commas, deleted ellipses…

Fought with passive tenses

Removed redundancies

Wondered if I’m sitting down or looking up

Moving toward or towards

Backward or backwards

As I sat next to my character

Or is it besides

I’m so confused

And it’s only noon!

I’ve pierced lips and pursed hearts

Wondered if he’s lying or laying

What exactly do I want him to do?

I’ve thought about walking away

Leaving this mess to my editor!
