Edge of the Rainbow

Standing at the edge of the mountain, looking out to the horizon,

Take in the skies of pure blues.

Watching the clouds sitting in a place as glistening diamonds,

The reflection of the water down below showing off the different hues.

Never paid attention to how majestic the world really was,

Until you're standing at the tip of the planet.

Stepping back from life and enjoying the moment on pause,

Wondering and pondering as to what began it.

The beauty of color is what has made my life worth living,

Having created so many astonishing things still undiscovered.

Realizing and appreciating the second breath we get every day is life-giving,

So many things, so many things that need to be uncovered.

Standing at the edge of the rainbow, being able to taste each color,

Thanking the One above for all the majestic creations He has bestowed upon us.

Taking on the multitude of gifts we've been given with much luster.

Not until I have taken the time to admire all His wonders, my existence is still superfluous.

Not much time is taken to look around and grasp all that surrounds our presence,

Life has much to offer, all in its own essence.
