Edge of Our Time

Poem of love and loss

There were so many moments of laughter, moments of sadness. Goodbyes of long distance and joys of reunions/

We both had discoloured childhoods, tainted emotions but we fell in love with each other scars and pains/

There was passion, tingling chemistry and burning kisses. There was beautiful comfortable silence in each other’s presence/

I was the sun and he was the moon. I kissed him goodbye in the morning and he kissed me goodbye in the eve/

He was logic and silence. I was emotion and excitement/

We were two people entangled. Then one night a lone wolf cried out at the moon and the moon cried with him/

Sparks of love became fire of frustrations. He spoke in capital letters and I spoke in italics/

We found each other standing on the edge of our time together, etching each other in memories/

Then he unclasped his hand from mine and walked away.
