Ever wondered if it’s lonely, drifting onward into darkness?

Could it discern if its prideful, for its contribution to life?

Long have many looked up and sought meaningful words to describe it.

I wonder what it thinks of those, if at all it thinks or ponders.

Perhaps it does not do these things, and only sits firm in the sky.

Sentinel and shadow formed, and growing ever more distant.

Eclipsed at last your radiance withdrawn, we’d yearn if you were lost.

Welcome! Thanks for reading my work!

I write all sorts of things, and I try to challenge myself regularly,

But I mostly enjoy jaunty humour and offbeat adventures in my writing.
