And there, the law became blind

Laws long hands now tied behind

Then bribes became common

People assassinated after a dime

Even on their worst enemy

One shall never wish such a time

⭐⭐⭐

When a state becomes lawless

Do then masses indulge in theft

It's because people become heartless

When rectitude and goodness is the only news left

It's because evil is the only news taught

Sugarcoated so much

Human minds start to rot

⭐⭐⭐

When a state becomes lawless

The poor are forced to starve for long

Mankind becomes faithless

So no one thinks it's wrong

⭐⭐⭐

One bee starts building the beehive

Then people ask: why should I thrive

Change doesn't come in one night

For a change, generations have to fight

It took decades to gain independence

Students nowadays can't keep a full attendance

And we expect from this generation something

Better to set our expectations at nothing

⭐⭐⭐

Times were good when people were fearless

Now they act like they hear less

Evil goes on in open

Times were good when people didn't mince their words

The truth was spoken

And falsehood dealt with swords

When justice was served, And rulers were selfless

At least the state then wasn't a mess

Now it seems as if thinking of change is pointless
