shedding my skin

changing my ways

renewing my grin

setting my pace

sloughing the layers

encouraging growth

silencing nay sayers

taking control.

accept adaptation

escape dormmate stage

a stanch negotiation

by the turning a page

manifest healing

tend the scars on my skin

replace the old, peeling

so regrowth begins

turning the soil

planting the seeds

pruning the foilage

developing me

granting forgiveness

evaluating my goals

showing some kindness

mending the holes

beginning to like me

that face in the mirror

choosing to believe

there’s a reason Im here

taking this moment

making it mine

learning to own it

cherishing the time

swinging, though, hit or miss

striving for success

embracing the ecdysis

realizing true happiness

Quite interesting for I think we all learn about ourselves in our own ways.

  • Oooo, I'm waiting for my ecdysis to begin! Such a powerful poem!

  • Ridding oneself of the old baggage, embracing & enjoying all that is fresh & new, priceless.
