renewing my grin
setting my pace

escape dormmate stage
a stanch negotiation
by the turning a page

manifest healing
tend the scars on my skin
replace the old, peeling
so regrowth begins

turning the soil
planting the seeds
pruning the foilage
developing me
*
granting forgiveness
evaluating my goals
showing some kindness
mending the holes
*
beginning to like me
that face in the mirror
choosing to believe
there’s a reason Im here
*
taking this moment
making it mine
learning to own it
cherishing the time
*
swinging, though, hit or miss
striving for success
embracing the ecdysis
realizing true happiness
