shedding my skin
changing my ways
renewing my grin
setting my pace
*
sloughing the layers
encouraging growth
silencing nay sayers
taking control.
*
accept adaptation
escape dormmate stage
a stanch negotiation
by the turning a page
*
manifest healing
tend the scars on my skin
replace the old, peeling
so regrowth begins
*
turning the soil
planting the seeds
pruning the foilage
developing me
*
granting forgiveness
evaluating my goals
showing some kindness
mending the holes
*
beginning to like me
that face in the mirror
choosing to believe
there’s a reason Im here
*
taking this moment
making it mine
learning to own it
cherishing the time
*
swinging, though, hit or miss
striving for success
embracing the ecdysis
realizing true happiness

Quite interesting for I think we all learn about ourselves in our own ways.
Oooo, I'm waiting for my ecdysis to begin! Such a powerful poem!
Ridding oneself of the old baggage, embracing & enjoying all that is fresh & new, priceless.
Fantastic poem!
