Only Dust

When I was driving today, my red car barreled through the dust kicked up into the air by a Mack Truck. Dust meets air, meets car.

I thought, "What next?" It does no good to wonder though. I will just need one more car wash at that groovy place.

Decisions need to be made and they matter. Forget about the dust on the car. It will stick, as necessary, to the unattended and unwanted places.

Brilliant your way through the sparkling, sapphire plane until you cannot travel any further. Muster your courage convincingly for you will not be offered another chance soon.

Squander until they don't permit it anymore. Whoever is watching is off duty now. Take advantage of their fracture.

About the Creator

Raissa Dassel

I have been a poet since my childhood. It peaked during my misunderstood teens and now again in my 50th year of life. It would be an honor to have people respond to my thoughts. I played the piano as a child, too. It is a beautiful life.
