Sometimes we are not aware that windows will reflect purity. Fear has no voice here. Find yourself in a window today.

Scrape away the edits and unapologetic doubt. You know who you really are. Live up to that.

Bask in the alligator's sunlight; though the day may seem long, it is not. Heavy eaves comfort you but you must believe. More.

Cash in your prayers for time with the ones you love. Give everything. Be the one they talk about.

Look back into the window and see. Just see you. Beauty unhindered. Beauty untouched.

About the Creator

Raissa Dassel

I have been a poet since my childhood. It peaked during my misunderstood teens and now again in my 50th year of life. It would be an honor to have people respond to my thoughts. I played the piano as a child, too. It is a beautiful life.
