Drowning in my Sorrow
The fingers pointed at me

Drowning in my Sorrow
I was drowning in my own sorrow
As everyone pointed the finger at me.
My heart lost in a roaring sea
Of emotion, repeated over and over,
“I didn’t do it.”
I would do anything for love,
But no, I would never do that.
Caught in a storm I couldn’t tame,
A battle between truth and shame.
They couldn’t hear the cries in my chest,
The weight of their judgment—a heavy test.
I stood alone, drowning in doubt,
they asked of secrets, they knew nothing about.
Love, I thought, was supposed to heal,
But in this darkness, I couldn’t feel.
Yet deep inside, I knew my heart
Ached with the truth, though torn apart.
I would do anything for love,
But no, I would never do that.
Still, in the silence, I held my ground,
A soul misunderstood, yet one who didn’t drown.
