Dreams About Love Part 1

Dreams Put To Paper

By Connor StermerPublished 2 years ago • 1 min read

I woke from a haze in the dead of the night,

Nothing feels good, nothing feels right.

Sweat stained sheets with a dash of fright,

I come back to these thoughts, yes, you were right.

I settle on down and try to calm my panic,

I just keep saying, "it's a dream, it's a dream" but still somehow feel manic.

The regret rushes over me like a tsunami of self-doubt,

You weren't here before and now you're nowhere enroute.

The days come to last as long as our distance is wide,

Sometimes I wish from this true pain I could hide.

I made a rash decision and messed up just to lose you,

But you live in my heart, my sanity I've been questioning too.

Will I ever hold you near once again likes loves true?

Or will I fade away weeping, so sad that I still love you.
