dreaming of summer

The summer sun shines brightly through my window,

With the scent of fresh cut grass wafting through,

however there seems to be so much sadness down below,

and I cant seem to detach myself from it.

I try to escape this evil around me,

That always tries to drag me down,

but even though there's so much pleasure to be sought all I see is negativity,

even when its far from my desire.

One day I dream of frolicking among the wildflowers,

and feeling the warm sun on my skin,

even though all I feel is cold stinging showers,

I know someday my mind will change along with this dream being obtained.
