Dragonfly’s eyes
Dragonfly’s hover
They dip and weave around
Their gossamer wings
Jewels in our sunlights gown
Seeing with eyes so very round
Like miniature crystals on a tiny tiny crown
They are the majestic gentle rides of the faeries and sprites
As they swiftly and gently ride the sun’s rays of light
Colourful rainbows of the air create flashes as they dip and glide the current streams
The dragonfly has many a story to tell about their colours you see.
And the Hierarchy like the Queen bee
The Reds are the Majestic Kings and Queens watching over the life of their kingdoms
The blue are the wise council and they never tell
The orange are the tellers of tales
The green are the carriers of light to the ground
The brown are the grandmothers the keepers of babes
The black are the grandfathers who sleep with the babes, protecting and soothing them all
But the gold Ahh the gold she is special so special you see
She is the highest of high
The keeper of secrets and dreams
She spends her day enjoying the sun's rays
Spreading the light from her fine lace wings
Like a miniature sun that never dims
Her crystal eyes and body a magnificent sight to see
She is as proud and beautiful as she can be.
