A father's love for his daughter Is priceless and true But society's expectations Can make it so hard to do

A dowry demanded For a marriage to take place The father struggles and borrows To save his daughter's grace

The wedding day comes But the debt remains unpaid The father feels so helpless His honor begins to fade

He feels like a failure And he can't bear the pain He can't face his daughter Or society's disdain

He sees no way out But to end his own life Leaving his daughter behind In a world filled with strife

His death is a tragedy A loss that can't be measured But it highlights a problem That must be deeply treasured

Dowry is a curse A tradition that must be broken Let's value our daughters And leave this custom unspoken

Let's honor our daughters For who they truly are Let's celebrate their worth And remove this societal scar.
