Moving further down into the abyss,

I cut through the cool air.

The fear is fleeting now,

only adrenaline flows through me.

The light continues to fade,

eyes are losing their purpose.

Accepting my fate,

I close my eyes.

Moving further down the abyss,

the cool air turns freezing.

Chilling my bones,

I fall slower than before.

Eyes open to dull light,

as the abyss grows larger.

Light brightens my surroundings,

the darkness fades away.

Moving further down the abyss,

the freezing air exhibits warmth.

Light erases the abyss’ boundaries,

an endless horizon is created.

Not falling now, but rising,

floating through the air.

My eyes can see the light,

Smiling, I rise above.
