The Workshop Collection

It is always hard for me to admit that

About a legendary 1970’s pink cat

Pussy footing along

Singing its own song

Not knowing what is going on

Especially when there is a crisis with a bomb

In order to solve this criminal thefty gem

Act like gentlemen

Inspect the scene

Staged by a fiend

Do not forget,

‘Trip every other step’

Making the mischievous upset

Getting caught, wanna bet

Enthusiastic audiences enjoying confuses

Paying for comical amuses

Peter or Steve

Who do you believe?

Blake Edwards’ side?

Or the modern-day ‘well excuse me guy’?

During the satirical affair

Such a credible delightful dare

That both Sellers and Martin did share

As for me

Reflecting sipping a creative cup of tea

Another character performed the evil catching deed

Getting the girl

Elusive with pearls

Playing gaming games

Using identification number names

Outsmarting the International crooks

All written from someone’s book

A novel penned

From way back when

our nation drafted us to defend

Moving images, we said ‘really cool’

Protagonists photographed by the wading pool

Antagonists ended up the fool

Marveling at all the action

Luring attraction

We sat in the movie house

Quiet as a mouse

Memorized by a big screen

Celluloid pictures the projector did beam

Credits appeared signaling everything done

Ending a day relaxing and fun

Laughing at the Sellers one

And cheering the suited secret agent on the run

For the most part

It was a start

Engaging with the unspooling reel

Only a couple dollar ticket deal

Matinees always a steal

Now where are Clouseau and Bond

Promoted inside the Chinese theater backdrop featuring Tom?

Galaxy cruising?

Fantasy ride choosing?

Never refusing?

Bringing things back down to earth

For what it is worth

Please tighten our society girth

Climbing aboard our investment stock

Monitoring the immortal clock

Going tick tick tock

Until sounding the boom

Allowing venturing way past the moon

Entering heaven

Where Sean receives the immortal seven

Asked hit or hold

From Roger who was ever so bold

We were told

Observing the illusional filled flick

Using the GQ studio talent pick

They are here

Since they threw a peaceful spear

Developing discussion

About the Russian

When things were cold

Nuclear War could make us all fold

As for the feline who sparkled in pink

Surviving not sleeping a wink

A diamond in the rough

Sudden giggles produced from those who were tough

Bringing them back to an age

When they earned minimum wage

Escaping from the adolescent cage

Loiter in the dreamer’s theater

Or be a reader

Of fine fiction

It could be an addiction

When stories come alive

Buzzing in the cinematic beehive

Search the library imagination stack

Pass the goodies and snack

While forgetting about reality, where the world is getting attacked
