doors

end of the world

By Moyana GebhardtPublished about a year ago 1 min read

These days

I don’t linger

In front of doors

That won’t open

I used to just stand

There

Forlorn and small

Wondering why

Nothing worked

But it’s starting

To make sense

You see,

I asked god

To only open the

Doors

That led me

Back home

And it’s true

That all paths

Lead home

But i have this fire

In my heart

And this voice

In my head

Of an ancient

Wayfarer

And nothing is wasted

The north star

Glows within me

And I might turn

A knob

Jiggle it

But I’m so fast now

That you can’t even

See me

Like gears

Locking in my soul

I won the video game

And unlocked

Free play

And I have this feeling

That I don’t need to

Turn another knob

That the doors

Will open for me

From now on
