Tongues lolling out, heads tilted in thought
As the pawns advance like fireflies in the dark.
Checkmate looms on the horizon's edge,
The chessboard witnesses tales untold
Tails wagging like metronomes in tune
Bishops and rooks, knights and queens align
Underneath the radiant, watchful moon
Chessboard battles with paws and claws
While the king, a bulldog
A canine chessboard, a noble fate.
Plays like a god
