Does Silence Really Exist?

DOES SILENCE REALLY EXIST?

Is the night silent

I hear white noise

Distant cars outside

The wind in the trees

The sound of the sea

The fox gives a yelp

Where is the silence?

I lie in bed

A thought in my head

The creak of the tree outside

The rain on my window

People shout out

Its 2.30 am -dosent anyone sleep?

And still i search for silence

I climb a hill and look around

No one but me to see

An eagle cries out

Wings in full flight

I hear the wind

I hear distorted sound

Noise from afar

Still there isnt silence

I lie in bed

Listening to my heart

pound in my head

I now know there isnt silence

Silence dosent exist -not even for the deaf

They feel sound vibrating on the floor

Vibrating all around but never true silence.

The search for silence torturing my mind!
