Do you see me beyond the rainbow?
All the things I am and could be

Everyone wants to show me their rainbows
T-shirts and face paint and pins on a bag.
But I'm afraid they don't really know
I'm not a rainbow or a flag.
No matter how many colours I am I'm still just me
And who I love is not supposed to be revolutionary.
***
I like the sea, the mountains, and open air
I love baking, I love to cook
And there truly is nothing to compare
Like sticking my nose in a book.
I'm a big fan of stories, of sunshine and rain
And I'm probably a little too vain
***
All these things that make up me
I'm so much more than my sexuality
If you look through my eyes, my soul's window
I think you could see me beyond the rainbow
