Was it worth it? Was it, really?
Do you hear the loons calling,
In the middle of the night?
Do you remember what you left behind,
Was it really worth the struggle,
Was it really worth the fight?
Do you remember why you came here,
And what you left behind?
Can you hear them on the lake,
Can you hear them in the night?
Did you grow so tired and weary,
Were the miles just too much?
Did the loneliness break your heart,
Were you away at work, away just way too much?
Did you know how much they all prayed for you,
Did you know they wish you were still there?
Did you know they’ll all be waiting for you,
Did you know how much they cared?
Do you hear the loons calling,
In the middle of the night?
Do you remember what you left behind,
Was it really worth the struggle,
Was it really worth the fight?
Do you remember why you came here,
