Sometimes,

the words just come to me

Flow right through me

so easily

The perfect combination

Of words, sounds

The perfect structure

Other times

they take a lot of effort

There's a chase and effort to exert

I wonder at times

if I choose the words

or if they choose me

to pay them forwards

The vessel, the messenger

of the good, the bad and the ugly

That needs to be said,

without fear,

clearly

The pleasant and pleasurable,

comfortable and comforting

The unpleasant and uncomfortable,

unpleasurable and discomforting

Thoughts and feelings

That will break down boundaries and barriers

That will break down obdurancy and obnoxiousness

Make you think

Ponder, ruminate and meditate

Make you feel

Seen, heard, and understood
