DIVORCE

The home we built, the life we had, Is now just ashes, it's so sad.

The ties that bound us once so tight,

Are frayed and broken, in the night,

The promises we made in love,

Are now just echoes from above.

We tried to make it work, we did,

But time and distance, they forbid,

The love that once we shared so deep,

Is now just memories that we keep.

The pain of parting is so strong,

It feels like something's truly wrong,

The home we built, the life we had,

Is now just ashes, it's so sad.

We'll move on, find new ways to be,

To live our lives, just you and me,

We'll take the lessons that we've learned,

And make new paths, we'll not be burned.

Divorce is not the end of love,

It's just a sign from up above,

That things have changed, it's time to move,

To new horizons, to find our groove.
