You + Me = Bestie

Distance Can't Kill Love

My heartbeat raced;

Faster, faster.

My head was dizzy

In timeless wonder.

The world around me

Melted away,

The enemy: distance,

My soul: decayed.

Time apart,

An empty abyss,

Melancholy vibes,

I'd reminisce.

Your attention, baby

Without it;

I'd die.

I yearned for you always;

You kept me alive,

Just hold me against you;

The pain will subside.

You had me devoted,

Confetti exploded;

It flowed through my veins,

Life vibrant again.

And every slight touch

Turned charcoal to gold,

A speechlessness bliss,

A moment untold.

Our eyes had locked;

Deeper, Deeper.

Our lips collided;

Sweeter, Sweeter.

Caressed by the sunset;

Our bodies embraced,

Our essence expanded

Throughout time and space.

My heart was the lock,

Your love was the key.

You showed me the light,

You set my soul free.
