There once was a bad apple
Who created a heavenly grapple
This rebel angel headed south
After releasing statements, from a dark devilish mouth
Settled underneath mother earth
Planned vengeance, gave birth
Giant monsters came to a world
Deemed a galactic pearl
They roamed with power
A size that did tower
Into the sky
Indestructible, not going to die
Angry and mad
Acted really bad
Dinosaurs had the floor
Marching to their own score
Flaunted egos and more
It is true
They were very rude
Showing an ugly attitude
Upstairs they were ready to fold
Someone had the idea, “turn everything cold’
Burying the BC beasts in aging ice
Paying a pompous price
Falling to the ground
Making a thunderous sound
Humans rose
Intelligence a little above their nose
Learned from this brainiac lesson
And not to do any messing
With the big blue marble gift
Enduring a demographic shift
Sent by the one in control
Who watches souls
Discarding the ones
Challenging what the creator done
When lighted by a glowing sun
And a night light moon
That is not going out anytime soon
Next time everything gets too big
Remember what happened to those who act like a pig
Shoveling the grave, they dig
During the short time we spend here
Armed only with our intellectual spear
Against prehistoric fear
Searching for a fight
In a place that is not all right
Due to tension really tight
Needing a guarded knight
Protecting beauty and kind thoughts
Against behavior that should be caught
And put away
Allowing us to stay
In this paradise
Where everything should be nice

Oooo, this was so profound. Loved your poem!
Nice job, I loved how you wove in the dinos with human stupidity thinking it is much smarter than nature - mother earth - universe - higher power - whatever a person names it.
