Different String

Into the early hours we climb...

By Dennis LaLiberte IIPublished 9 years ago 1 min read

Into the early hours we climb

as we leave those tears behind.

We try but woe the moments are lost

for every second in turn, has a cost.

Gazing into the morning moon.

We ascend with souls singing in tune.

Luna disappears behind a billowy cloud.

Resting upon the blanket of a baby blue shroud.

Finding ourselves drifting toward home

destinies entwined as we hone

within this moment we shall everlast

embraced by this, an omnipotent grasp.

Though my dear we found the light.

A place that was hidden within plain sight.

If worldly actions could have changed a thing

our hearts would still pound, yet on a different string.
