His breath smelled of fresh strawberries, she could taste them.

Eyes wide in startled realization as he shoved her off the cliff

the sea whirling below, foaming against the rocks.

Time stopped it seemed, the fall was taking forever.

She saw it all then, the deception, the denial.

Long last it came, water rising up to greet her.

Last second she could feel the waves licking her body.

all she could see was clouds, the only sound his voice.

She was between the devil and the deep blue sea.

Her laughter at the thought, the last sound as she drowned.
