DEEP DARK

Her eyes are like the deep dark ink That flows from pen to page A window to the soul they say But hers hold mysteries unexplained

A smoky hue of charcoal black With flecks of gold and green They draw you in and hold you fast Like nothing you've ever seen

And in those eyes, you'll find a world Of stories left untold Of secrets kept and dreams deferred And tales yet to unfold

She wears her heart upon her sleeve And in her eyes, it shows With every glance, a new emotion A new adventure to be known

So if you dare to look her way Be ready for what you'll find A world of wonder and intrigue In the depths of her eye ink sublime.

Very effective description. The middle line in particular is superb!
