I have a friend

She’s strong, honest, stands up for herself

Determined, Stubborn and always full of herself

You'd never expect her to be so sad and vulnerable

It seems like she always has her shit together and she's so comfortable

But that isn’t the case

See my friends been sexually assaulted by a boy who lies

It haunts her every night and she always feels him putting his hands down her thighs

She tries to forget but all she does is cries

It kills her everyday wondering if she's the reason why

She grows to hate herself for something she didn’t do

All because of a boy who took advantage of her

It’s just not fair

How can one be so ignorant to do that

Grab her ass without consent

Hold her down and kiss her neck

She screamed stop multiple times

But he still continued anyways

Push his body on hers when she was shaking from fear

Did this all on the stairs

While she had a face full of her tears

After all that

block her off of everything as if she was the goddamn issue

Now she's scared with all those horrible moments replaying in her head

December 19th will always torture her till the day she’s dead

If someone says stop

Jesus fricken christ please stop

1 in 3 women are affected by sexual violence

1 in 6 men are affected as well

No one ever deserves to go through what she went through

And if any single one of you have experienced something as awful as that

I’m so deeply sorry from the bottom of my heart

You deserve better than that

You are more than that
