Dear Neighbour, You’re a Bitch to Take My Man
I know how you work beware I will get you

Dear Neighbour, You’re a Bitch to Take My Man
Dear neighbour, I have watched you at my gate,
That careful smile that never reached your eyes,
You stood too long beside my garden wall,
As if my life was yours to memorise.
You called him out when you knew I would hear,
Let your voice carry just a shade too sweet,
A hand that brushed and lingered far too long,
Like testing ground you thought was yours to keep.
Do not pretend you slipped into this mess,
You knew the line and crossed it clean and slow,
You took your time, you watched, you learned the cracks,
And stepped right in the places I did not know.
But I am not the woman you misread,
I do not break and scatter at your feet,
I see you clear, no softness left to spare,
No kindness left for you to twist and keep.
If he could fall for something built like you,
Then let him go, I will not beg or plead,
For what you took was never strong to start,
And I refuse to water dying seed.
So keep him, keep the lies you built so well,
Keep every hollow promise that you share,
I would not fight to claim a weakened thing,
Or waste my breath on love that is not there.
And when it turns, because it always does,
When voices rise and truth begins to land,
Do not come knocking anywhere near me,
I will not take back what you held in hand.
