Dear, Katt Williams

I don't think Shannon Sharpe could even begin to imagine what was about to go down on his podcast, "Club Shay Shay," when Katt Williams sat down. Sure, they probably talked before the cameras started rolling, did the typical dos and don'ts, checked in on each other's health, and maybe even went over a few of the questions. But when the cameras started rolling, Katt Williams began to go off.

Katt Williams wasn't the first comedian on the "Club Shay Shay" podcast, as Shannon had Ricky Smiley, Cedric the Entertainer, and a few others on the platform. But Katt Williams is one of a kind. From the opening scene, Katt addressed his displeasure with the other comedians and he held no punches, from Faizon Love all the way to A-lister Steve Harvey. Katt Williams spoke heavily on Rickey Smiley's claims of him being casted for Money Mike, Katt’s first role in a movie, and Katt said that was completely a lie. He also heavily accused Cedric the Entertainer of stealing his jokes. He accused many of his comedic peers of being a part of some secret "club" that makes them lower their standards and morals for success. He accused Kevin Hart of being a plant, Steve Harvey of not being a great stand-upcomic and therefore having to pivot into TV. He accused most of them of emasculating themselves by putting on dresses and doing other things that he deems as emasculation of males. He said that he may not have as much money as some of his peers, but being 100 percent independently funded and with his morals intact, he's in a better position because he didn't have to sell anything in exchange for success.

I can't wait to hear how this shakes the comedic world. I do think that there was some truth, a lot of truth, in what he was saying. I can sense an undertone of maybe jealousy towards some of his peers' crossover success, but I'm interested to see this comedic war that's about to start, and I'm sure Shannon is happy with the viral success of the video. I can't wait to stay tuned to this wild ride of laughs and jokes.
