Dear friend,
I'm writing this letter to you to say…
Well, to talk about cultures long forgotten, lost in decay!
The ones that have been left behind,
The ones that we can no longer find.
They lived and breathed, they had their ways!
Their customs, their traditions, their own displays!
But now they're gone, they've disappeared...
Leaving us with only memories, to be revered,
Their stories are lost, their voices are gone.
Their songs, their dances, their art, all undone,
But we can still feel their presence, in the air...
In the echoes of their past, we can still hear...
Their cultures may be lost, but they're not forgotten,
Their legacies live on, memories never to leave rotten!
Their influence can be seen, in the way we live!
In the way we love, in the way we give,
So let's remember these cultures, let's honor their past!
Let's keep their memories alive, let's make them last!
For they are a part of us, they're in our blood.
And they deserve to be remembered, they deserve to be loved.
Yours truly,
A believer in the power of remembrance
