Dear Earthlings,
I find your actions quite confusing
All these resources you are using
Plastics and strip mines and CO2
What the frack is the matter with you?

Captains of Industry run amuck
Polluting then diluting mistrust
Convincing you plastic straws are suss

There seems no end to your consumption
Listen to Greta, she’s got gumption
Look out for the trees and the fishes
Things won’t change on mere hopes and wishes

Where I come from we have a saying
That’s if you are planning on staying
Zergle zim bong zip dong zap zong zeet
Translated means: ‘don’t shit where you eat’

Remembering the rink
If you were there, you’ll never forget it. For decades, Durham Ice Rink was at the heart of the city’s social life. From Friday night ice discos to crowds roaring on the Wasps every Sunday, not to mention a proud history of figure skating and speed skating, the riverside rink was the place to be.
