Dear, Brenton F

A poem to a fellow writer

your hand cannot hide you, for I see you loud and clear

I hear you soft and gentle

your pulse is high above the skyline

but deep into the sea of mystery

your eyes converse as fireflies

your pain sails past mountains of hope

I stand in the gap and apologize

for the haters who shot you with missile-words of jealousy

your mind flutters like an anchor

stuck on tumultuous peace

you waltz with radioactive joy

with the ebb and sway of wind-chimes

you run the marathon of creativity

not all understand you and that’s jolly good fun, don’t you agree?

but for the few who do, it fills them with great glee

thank you for sharing your soul

when bells forgot to declare their toll

you rang true, through the night
