Daydreamer

Love believer

Sitting, lying

Thinking about the

Shape of your face

How it always pops

Up in the impossible space

Between the angle of

Refraction and all the layers

Of distractions

While I wile and wander unfocused

Through dimensions

Untethered and whole

The danger lies

Not in their distance

From home

Instead, it’s the presentation of

Enamoring facts

The lure of the unknown

Drawing me farther from

What I call home

Chasing you through the

Chambers of my heart

Never allowing me the

The time to roost, rest

Or return

The shape of truth

A reality not yet beheld but

Always deeply felt

Down to my marrow

Down to the very nucleus of

My newly created

Splitting cells

I have been waiting

My whole life to

Be found by you
