Dangerous
A poem by Marie Cadette
While the pupil’s thick flame
We still can’t hate
The thought is suffocating under tears
Inside is bittersweet…Feeling cold and hot
Outside we spread chaotic smiles… urging life to be loyal
***
When our heart’s burning faster than fire bathing in gasoline
We feel dangerous, ponderous, and censureless
We want to pretend, to convince, to get revenge …
And nothing can hit harder than our thought’s wave
***
Sometimes we wish life was an eternal dreamless rest
Sensing too much silence attracts suffering
Hearing too many voices mutilates the reasoning
When nobody understands us, we divulge our painful drama
And they hate us even more
***
While the mind is asking for a sleep
Our dream’s full of battles
The obscene absence, the emptiness, the meaningless noise…
We are harmful to the inner self
***
The power is hurting the mind when it’s trapped inside
We mustn’t let it out, we don’t want to hurt any kind
Let’s save the smiles and bury the prides
Hence, we’ll stall the mind even if we can’t keep up
Being dangerous
