Her eyes began to swell
They began to burn as well
Trying to hold them in
Was harder than it has been
A deep breath to fill her lungs
Feeling the cold air go past her tongue
An unsteady heartbeat felt in her chest
As her mind began to tell her to rest
Fighting the feeling became too hard
She had finally decided to let down her guard
Tears ran down her face
And her heart began to race
Unsteadily walking toward her bed
She decided to rest her head
A wet face and burning eyes
Kept her up for hours that night
Then she slept
Dry tears on her cheek from when she wept
A calmer breath that warms her lungs
Not the breaths that previously stung
She is content
She has let it go
No more tears
For her to show
