Croak, Plop, Love!

Loved by a Frog

By mitty anegoPublished about a year ago 1 min read

Beneath the clouds so soft and gray,

The raindrops came to dance and play.

A puddle formed, so wide and deep,

Where dreams would stir and secrets keep.

Sir Croaky sat with princely grace,

Raindrops twinkling on his face.

He hummed a tune—a ribbit song,

That echoed through the lilies strong.

Miss Lily Belle, with eyes so wide,

Came hopping through the countryside.

Her toes went plip, her heart went plop,

She didn’t mean—but couldn’t stop.

They met beneath a mushroom dome,

Each other's splash became their home.

He bowed and said, "My lovely dove,

Might we share this rain—and love?"

She giggled shy beneath her leaf,

The thunder clapped like wedding fife.

With every drip, their hearts grew near,

Two froggy souls with love sincere.

So when the skies begin to cry,

And raindrops fall from weeping sky,

Think not of gloom—just look and see,

A frog prince and his bride-to-be. 🌧️🐸💚
