Continuation to poem "loneliness"

A lightning bolt, a deafening roar,

Struck the oak by Sarah's door.

Her faithful friend, in its nest it lay,

Silenced forever, on that fateful day.

Now Sarah weeps, her heart laid bare,

In the quiet woods, her grief to share.

The echoes of loss, the forest knows,

As tears of sorrow, like rivers, flow.

But amidst the sorrow, a glimmer of hope,

As the forest whispered, helping her cope.

From the depths of despair, a new bond grew,

As the woodland creatures, her sadness they knew.

Together they rallied, in love’s gentle sway,

Bringing warmth to her heart, chasing darkness away.

With each passing day, Sarah found peace,

Her grief transformed into sweet release.

Through laughter and song, the forest thrived,

In Sarah’s embrace, its spirit revived.

And though her friend’s gone, in the sky above,

Their love remains eternal, a testament to love.

It shows the emotional journey of Sarah, a woman living in solitude in Willow Creek. Despite her deep sorrow and longing for love, she finds solace and companionship in a wounded bird she nurses back to health. However, tragedy strikes when a lightning bolt kills the bird, leaving Sarah devastated. The poem captures her grief and the support she receives from the forest and its creatures, ultimately leading to her finding peace and healing.
