Confessions

you are my home...

By Stephanie Marley McMechanPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Did you know that whenever I am with you

Time seems to stop and I ignore the ticking of the clock

that rings in my head each day

That is a day of routine?

With you, normalcy is thrown out the window

I feel a rush of life course through my chilled body

So devoid of the light of love for so long

You do the things you do with such ease

It seems as efffortless as the breath you take

Just that person that is you is a surprising welcome

In my life, the circus I coexist in

Seems to make a little more sense when I

Am next to you, warmth engulfs my heart

And sets afire with a passion

For life made anew just by encountering

The person that is unequivocally you.
