Finding Connection in Life's Simple Moments

The snow falls gently from the sky, almost as if it’s suspended in air- lingering before gravity continues to lay it softly on the ground.

The stillness in the air brings a sense of serenity.

The train comes barreling forward, cutting the silence, it’s spotlight magnifying the purity and softness of the snowflakes.

The momentum of the T ignites a gust of wind, the cloud of snowflakes that hang in the air propel forward.

Observing nature unfold into another season brings beauty and peace within.

I pause from my book, glancing out the window.

The train is on top of a hill, allowing my eyes to see all of the houses staggered at varying levels beneath me, their rooftops laden with white snow.

Christmas lights dangling from so many homes, their bright lights contrasting with the soft glow of dawn.

A peaceful energy courses through my body, grounding me into gratitude.

Grateful for this connection with life, this moment. Here, now.
