Part 1 and 2

By Christopher ShaversPublished 2 months ago • 1 min read

Part 1

What do you do

With the part of me

That I share with you?

You very much enjoy

Being familiar with my skin.

What better way

To know your touch, non?

From top,

To tips,

To tail,

To toes.

Don’t stop,

Please sit,

Prevail,

Who knows.

What we’ll learn from each other.

I want to feel your emotions

Through how we embrace.

As you hold my hand,

I hope to feel your heart.

Let me get familiar with your softness,

Make me familiar with your intent.

Engrave me with your scent.

Transfix me with your weakness.

Hesitation makes me eager,

Shyness makes me blush.

Grip me like a believer.

Paint me with the moments, be the brush.

No stranger to an overachiever.

Take your time teaching me your tendencies tracing with touch.

Part 2

What do you do

With the part of me

That I share with you?

Is that not your hands

Around my throat?

I recognize that touch,

Not the grip.

My ears aren't that far

To find you unfamiliar.

Yet my eyes close,

Heathens to the light that clearly

Assures me

"Ghosts aren't real".

So you must be.

You once said you cherished my voice.

Is this how you horde your treasures?

Be you Othello or Fáfnir,

Such insecurity is unnecessary.

You knew what I'd do

If my psalms came true.

This is nothing new.

So why is the sky no longer blue?

Blurry be the breath beating in my chest.

An atheist at the alter of acceptance.

Angry at what exactly?

Your agony was acknowledged,

Alone in your thoughts only,

Accepted for the astonishment

That is... was you.

And apparently inadequate.

You want control over this community corpse.

Conspiring to capture a core craft,

Only to obscure opportunities

Maliciously, more and more

Enthusiastically.

Tossed in the throes of temptations,

Analog in anticipating

Keeping knavish keen clutch.

Eventually you’ll emancipate my essence...

Maybe my mind is manipulating me.

Escalated by ever evading ease to breath.
