Coming Through Clouds

Inspired By Harper Lewis Heart

By Kelli Sheckler-AmsdenPublished 12 days ago • Updated 12 days ago • 1 min read

darkness falls early

I watch

gathering clouds

nearly touch ground

October feels burly

as pangs of loneliness growls

mosaic

leaves hit the ground

left to die in the park

they

fall without sound

while cities dissolve in

the gathering dark

i sit in the dampness

collecting my feels

consumed in my darkness

connecting appeals

life’s

storms of disappointment

disconnection - dissension

somedays this void

is simply too much to mention

but the hope that remains

somehow

becomes my salvation

as I emerge

the other side

finding

….peace amidst the abrasions
