Hot cocoa and slippers on a cold winter day Having your pets only inches away 

A roomy backseat you have all to yourself A glance at a keepsake high on a shelf

Old shirts, old chairs, PJs, good shoes Those days where you feel like you just can’t lose

Mama's robe wrapped around you, now that she's passed  Hearing her whisper, "no trial can last"

Being still in the forest, life teaming within Feeling no fear when something big will begin

Time spent with others and time spent alone Soaking your feet when they're worked to the bone

Eating so much that you're full to the brim A good cup of coffee filled right to the rim.

In a pool on your back floating gently around Eating food on a blanket thrown right on the ground

Coming in from the heat to ice cold AC A reprieve from going where you don't want to be

Enough cash to know you can meet life’s demands A soft fuzzy bunny to hold in your hands

To hear a friend’s voice on the end of the phone When you’ve called in the night feeling scared and alone.

Your grown child calling to tell you they care Learning an outcome was righteous and fair

The days of the month that hold no demands A playlist filled with your favorite bands

Your hair gently stroked by someone you love The olive branch carried by a pure white dove.

Getting hugged so tight your eyes might pop out Making your point with no need to shout

Loving your neighbor from deep in your heart Great love from your neighbor right from the start
