I've found a comfort in your arms
I've never truly known before.
A place in that familiar space
between your shoulders
where I can feel the beat
of your heart
and know I'm home.
Home is not a place,
it's your embrace
and knowing I found love
in the darkest place.
I'd lost hope before you found me,
set up camp in the shadows.
You ignited every chamber of my beating heart
and lit the way to freedom.
There's a solace in your arms
that reminds me
what's lost can be found
and in you I found that hope again.
