Comfort comfort,
what is comfort?
Comfort is relaxing under the steady pulsing pressure of the water
falling from the showerhead onto your face, onto your body,
slowly but surely drenching your entire body in medium-warm
to hot water.
The mirror in the bathroom completely fogged over, your reflection
disappearing deeper and deeper into a homemade cloud
of steam, filling the corners of your bathroom.
The tiles glisten with small, miniscule beads of moisture,
and time seems to have stopped at a standstill.
How much time has elapsed?
Twenty minutes, thirty minutes?
A whole hour or more?
It doesn't matter,
your bones, body, soul,
every fiber of your being thanks you.
It is bliss you have never experienced before but it is something
you very much needed even though you protested.
You protested against the thought of wasting water,
you protested against the thought of wasting time,
money, and more on yourself when you still have
so much left to do, so much left to solve.
Hush, that can wait for another day.
What you did for yourself today
will stay in your memory forever.
