Come to the Carnival with Me!

(So, I decided to ask my family what they would introduce to an alien first [because if I'm honest, an alient, no matter how friendly and unscary they are, would make me cry and run home in terror] and my fiancé said... "Hm. Something that is cultural, but something that displays joy and jubilance when people come together. Something like Rio's Carnival or a Japanese Festival! So here is my entry based off of my man's response.)

The best time to visit Earth is just before Lent.

Let's land in Rio De Janeiro, setting is important.

I'll show you a colorful celebration like you've never dreamed,

Because this time of year Carnival has taken over the streets!

Music and drums will make your heart pound and race,

thousands of dancers will Samba at just the right pace.

Colors of every brightness, hue and shade,

illuminate the costumes of glitter, feathers and suede.

Humans walk the streets crowding every space,

dancing and singing in countless parties and parades.

Floats of color and grandeur escort the dancers,

Here there is no sadness or rancor.

To prepare for the festival the musician's and dancers work very hard,

Because it's really a giant contest to show off Rio's bards.

Carnival is full of drink, food, song and dance,

and really this is one such major chance,

to see the color and beauty of the things that we celebrate.

Countless currency is spent to show off the beauty that humans can create.

Millions of people roam the streets with song in their ears,

and the cup in their hands is probably beer.

Now don't worry, there are plenty of porta-potties,

so let's go to Rio and join Earth's biggest party!
