Colour of the Night
Loving myself is an epiphany

Sometimes I feel small and would like to hide
From all the things that are love, that are light
To think my sexuality is trite
It's easier to let others decide
Who I should love, but when I hide my pride
All that remains is the colour of the night
I'd like to see the colours of twilight
that only self acceptance can provide
Filled with the blues of a star nursery
Or a sunset, the sky ablaze with pinks
The colours a symphony, a choir
Loving myself is an epiphany
Accepting who I love is the link
To seeing all the colours I desire
