You will find her looking up at the light blue sky
Surrounded by grey, lifeless figures
all lost and awry
her cheery red lips scream for mercy but not a word
not a sound is found nor abound
the sun yellow’s on caramel skin at attempt to give light
to her ash existence
her soul black
unhinged heart is red
but her heart like fire
orange is
perhaps she will see
When God made everything
he had a lot of blue-
A great big sky for all the world
one day there’s more to be than just a grey, lifeless figure with merciless screams.

There is a Thin Line Between Tears of Sorrow and Tears of Joy
I remember when my mother passed away. After the tears from the initial shock, our family sat in the living room and shared memories. We talked about her love and compassion toward others, the lessons she taught us about honesty, and how she taught us the importance of respecting ourselves and others. Then we started sharing memories that made us smile and eventually, each of us began to relax and tell stories that made us laugh.
