Colorful Mind

Zing

Mind churning colors and aspirations,

All around.

Memory deceiving and perceiving,

Hear the sound?

Thoughts clicking, clicking as long hand,

On that of a clock.

Mental commentary racing on track,

Bittersweet, mindful mock.

If only thoughts could go out,

With the lights.

If only thoughts could shut down,

Like a computer.

If only thoughts could fall asleep,

Themselves.

Insomniac or maniac, take a pick,

Or, could it be both?

Or, something else altogether?

If only thoughts could be flushed away,

Down a toilet drain.

Down and away,

Never to be seen,

Or thought of again...

...thought of again

...thought of again.
